I spersonally haven't but my sister has, although she doesn't have APS she has 2 annerrysums in e brain. I believe as you say it gives them a much clearer image of the blood vessels themselves.
hi -daisy ------------------ i have had it done a number of times for ,one thing or another ! they consintrated on my upper spine and neck also. then my entire spinwe to hips- front sides and back views---------------- i can go back in my records if will be of help to you ????? --------------------- jet
It's called contrast. I have had it at leatest 20 times over the past 15 years. No negative side effects for me. Makes a man's scrotum extemely warms for about 30 seconds.
Yes I've had the tracer contrast die before for CT scans and I am having an MRi/MRA and another CT on Thursday. Like you they are going to look at my blood vessels in my cervical spint to see if I have issues with them that may be causing my 'funny turns'.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I was wondering why I had it this time ? it was because I was seen by a different Neurologist, the one I had for years had requested MRI scans and he always told me the my brain was like it should be for someone my age(.I had requested to see another neurologist at the same local Hospital)
Perhaps had I have had the dye on previous occasions he might have seen the problems.although he still wouldn't admit it was down to Hughes syndrome.
Luckly I am now being seen in St Thomas' with people who know what they are doing.
