Worried about clot

Hi due to not having this very long I feel a bit silly asking this but today I smacked my knee on a cage and cut into my leg and it has swollen just round the cut area . well my question is could this cause me a clot .

ouch hon, I'm not sure, but would certainly get it checked out if you worried. Better safe than sorry.

I'm really clumsy and always black n blue, my dvt was out of the blue tho, then ended up with pe. So understand your worries.

I presume you are on anticoagulation / warfarin and should get it checked!!

You never know what bruise will be produced.

I think a swift check even if it just, on this particular occasion to put your mind at rest, is not a bad idea! Mary F

Hi thank you for your replys the swelling has gone down now and just left with a big old bruise :) x
