Hi everyone, since I started on warfarin I’ve not had any more tattoos, (NHS recommend not to) but wondered if anyone has experience or thoughts around having them done. (INR 2-3 and 11mg/day)
Cheers

Hi I've had one done whilst on warfarin a small one but no problems at all I was probably on ten or eleven mg or eleven or twelve mine always goes up or down.I asked the hematologist and he said just be careful and make sure to go to a professional.so go for it.😊
Given that autoimmune diseases, such as ours, have various triggers, I long ago chose to avoid tatoos. And I explained to my children why they too should avoid them lest some ingredient become a trigger for them to develop an autoimmune disease,
Hi there. I've been on warfarin since November and have already had some work added to my current tattoos. Another appt this coming week in fact! I always get my INR done just prior to ensure I'm at a safe level. I've had no issues whatsoever. It is, however, important to have an artist you have worked with previously, and trust implicitly, who will let you know if you're bleeding more than usual. I would also check with your own medical team... they know you best! Good luck!
