Does anyone have leg weakness? Not like completely giving way but making it feel dodgy to stand up and physically exhausted? after just like walking a few steps?

I also suffer with leg weakness but i think that mine is associated with my migraines, following a stroke 8 years ago i have been left with some degree of weakness in my left leg and a slight dropped foot. But now when i get migraines i have pronounced weakness in my leg from the knee down and some times from the hip down it feels like having a dead leg and as if my leg is going to give way. This can last most of the day and into the next day, my haematologist has referred me to my neurologist who deals with my migraines. I get Botox every 3 months and occipital nerve blocks every 6 weeks for my migraines which sometimes help with my migraines but not always, i can get daily migraines which leave me completely washed out.

Kind regards

The way my haematologist advised me was that due to my APS i had had numerous minor strokes and if the cumulative damage had all happened at once I probably wouldn't have survived. So it is possibly my Cerebral APS and also fatigue from my COPD and also a helping hand from the Psoriatic Arthritis.

Hi Greenmil3

I have a feeling that my increase in leg weakness in conjunction with my migraines might be caused by hemiphlegic migraines but i just need my neurologist to confirm. Unfortunately because i have numerous cerebral lesions and small vessel disease as well as having a pacemaker my neurologist is reluctant to give me the newer migraine treatments. My INR tends to be a bit erratic at the moment as well it was ranging from 4.9 to 2.9 last month so i am testing it on a weekly basis my therapeutic range is 3-4.

Kind regards

Yes; leg pains of both “intermittent shooting jabs” to duller throbbing pain are prevalent since my APS/Factor5Lieden 2020 post 3 “vaccine jabs” diagnosis.

Sadly there simply isn’t enough research on the maladies to really know how to treat.

Hello, I have lupus anticoagulant as diagnosis. I have had hemiplegic migraines over 20yrs. I was being treated for mini strokes until the stroke clinic didn't understand my blood results, a neurologist was called in and said a ct scan isn't as good as mri scan for checking for TIAs. I was sent for MRI showed no sign of mini stroke but had some dots and got transferred to neurology dept, back when communication wasn't just email and phone calls did it. He diagnosed me with hemiplegic migraine. Was already under haematology for the lupus anticoagulant so transferred from warfarin to clopidogrel. The symptoms were on left side I'd get weakness, could just drop to the floor unexpected. Eyesight was white out in left eye and I'd feel like I'd been drugged. This was what he told me was the aura of hemiplegic migraine. Headaches ofcourse were more or less constant. Botox treatment every 3 months, on the 12th month(4th treatment) head aches eased. With the lupus anticoagulant I had a swollen lower left calf painful A&E found I'd had lupus and lupus anticoagulant. Was referred to haematology. Then only lupus anticoagulant was found. Every now and then gp says you've the symptoms of SLE but by the time appointment comes through from haematology they're no longer there. It's usually a rash on the face or tops of arms and wherever the sun has caught me. My legs were so tired and painful had 2 crutches. That's improved but leg pain hasn't. Last year had heart attack cardiovascular disease heart disease diagnosed. Now I don't know if it's vascular disease, fibromyalgia or lupus anticoagulant. My point is don't just assume it's lupus could be something else. This happened just a month after a haematology said all was good with circulation and heart.Hope you find out what the cause is and get the right treatment. 🤞:-)

Had transfusion in operation then two more heading towards another not low enough yet to fit criteria.

Suggest get Dr check for auto immune anemia and regular anemia take care

As a possibility I'm not a Dr so can't advise just sharing my experience I couldn't stand long weak no idea why my consultant said needed blood transfusion huge difference I could walk two days later.
