I am going to be travelling from Australia to Edinburg in August and apart from the stress of having to get up and walk every hour on the flight I will need to get my INR checked once I get to Edinburg. Does anyone know any places I could get this done. We fly in on a Saturday so it will need to be a place that is open on the weekend if possible
Thanks

Hi, Here is a private clinic, I suggest you message them to find out what they can offer or if they know of anything else? edinburghclinic.com/patient... and here is an NHS clinic, you may still have to pay if not a UK resident, and not sure about week-ends, but both may come up with a solution: nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk/Goin...
I went to a clinic in Glasgow for a veinous draw INR, and they refused to either bill my insurance or let me pay. I did have a doctor's order for an INR with my diagnosis and warfarin dosage listed. The staff at the clinic explained that processing the insurance request or documenting my payment would take more clerical time than the test was worth! Welcome to a truly humane, civilized country! ( envy, envy, envy!)
I expect the accident and emergency dept (A&E) of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh would do it for you. But I expect you would have to sit and wait for some time.
