Hi, are you talking about a device or a supplement, if a supplement then be aware that anything like even a herbal one could radically upset your system including your INR, if some sort of device, then you would again need the expert input of your main GP and consultant. MaryF
I think regarding if somebody is wearing a pacemaker it would be a definite no, and probably if there is the slightest possibility that somebody could have a clot, then no, I don't know enough about these devices but I remain suspicious until I hear professionally that they are ok, my hunch is that they are not for us lot. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Have you thought of one of those foot pedalling devices, which is literally a set of bike pedals so you pedal while you sit? However again check with your doctor, rather than just what I am saying. MaryF
My secretary had a fall and broke her ankle ( badly) and had to have serious fixating surgery. Her surgeon sent her to physical therapy, and between surgery and physical therapy she learned a lot about clotting, etc. , which she kindly shares with me.
A great trick I’ve learned ( she reminds me of frequently- especially if I have long haul flights - or she catches me at my desk too long -) is :
Write out the letters of the alphabet with your toes pointed- then again flexed back! Move you whole foot. Then again- use the other foot!
It will certainly make your colleagues wonder about you! 😂
I don’t know if they still make them but years ago I bought a flight cushion thing, you blow it up and can press on it with your feet moving your legs, is quite small so imagine would be suitable for under a desk
I have a wonderful device called the “heart partner.” It is made by a Sonostics in the United States. I actually bought it to increase metabolism but after talking to the engineer who created it, I found out it was originally invented to improve circulation. It is expensive but one of the most valuable things I have ever invested it. The customer service is excellent too.
Hi Kay, I am thinking of ordering a heart partner, but would need a power adaptor as I do not live in the US. I have been trying to contact the company to find out the watts used by this device but they do not reply. Could you please tell me if your says on it the wattage? This is usually found on or near the plug. I would be so grateful. Thanks.
I use a hot bath every night for circulation. It's simple and also helps with muscle pain especially if you add Epsom Salts. I also do sauna 3 x a week, it temporarily helps blood circulation, added bonus of oxygen flow and helps joint pain. Walking daily after work helps too. I know you where asking about machines but maybe these can help?
Do you or your doctors have any reservations about the Suana and have you ever done the sauna with an active clot? I know the health benefits are tremendous, but anything that manipulates the veins like the Suana does give me pause.
I haven't had the chance to ask my doctors at Kaiser yet but I can't imagine getting a "yes" from them on this or anything else other than sitting around and doing nothing is pretty much impossible.
My doctor is totally Ok with me doing suanas, gave me green light to go ahead. No I haven't had a active clot while doing suana treatment, that would have to be ok by my doctor.
Hi Stuart, I came across a device I'm currently researching it's low-level laser therapy for APS. IntranNasalLaserTherapy, tiny red diode laser that bathes nasal cavity with laser light. It's quoted to reduce blood viscosity and improve microcirculation. I'm currently looking into shipping one from Canada to the USA.(VIELIGHT). Europe has one named BIO QUANT NS. ARTICLE, DR. SIRUS- MARCH 7, 2017. When I obtain one and I'll share my review with you.
I'm currently trying TAXIFOLIN , a bioflavonoid. I'm please so far with the results.40mg -3 times day for my circulation.( Rayaunds Syndrome) plus better energy.
