Morning

Yes, I have tinnitus, and have pulsating in my ears at times, especially at night when in bed I notice it. It is heartbeat related and the whoosh of blood carried to the brain through the carotid artery I believe. It passes close to the ears. That’s my theory at least.

Yes, I have it too. Can be so frustrating especially when trying to go to sleep. I get the feeling it is common.

Yes I had a severe case of it that lasted a few years before I was put on Coumadin, aspirin, and Adempas. It was related to my Intracranial Hypertension most likely caused by microclots. Microclots also caused my ocular migraines, papilodema , extreme vertigo spells and major lethargy. Have been relieved of all of these symptoms by keeping my INR at 3.5-4.5.

I experience tinnitus too, ringing in my ears, whooshing etc. I get the pulsing/drumming sound you mention too. My hearing in one ear will also fade in and out sometimes and I have episodes where I can barely hear at all in one ear, or the other.

I find that it helps to have a fan on in the bedroom when trying to get to sleep, as the sound of the fan seems to help to override the sound of the tinnitus.

My tinnitis starred at age 7 and has continued ever since. Its my normal. I do note that at times it is louder, and sometimes the pitch changes or another musical note is played higher then my srandard tinnitis chord,

Hi there, it is quite common on here and normally to do with micro clotting, Manofmendip knows quite a bit about this symptom. MaryF
