I have AFIB and had to go to the hospital to get my heart back in sync. I think I caught a bad flu bug which dehydrated me. Can anyone tell me how long you can live AFIB?

HI there do you have a diagnosis for Hughes Syndrome/APS? MaryF
Hi, the answer to your question slightly differs if you have APS/Hughes.
We are not here to give personal medical advice. We share our experiences and give support.
Let us know a little more about you, whether you have diagnoses, where you are etc?
We can then help and answer your questions.
Sorry, I may be on the wrong link. I was diagnosed with AFIB a couple of years ago. I had prepped for a colonoscopy and my was beating so fast by the time I got to the hospital they sent me to the ER. I was given an EKG and hooked up to an IV. They finally got my heart back in sync. I have been on blood thinner ( xzerolto) and diltiazem to correct my heart rhythm. I am 69 and will turn 70 in August. I have always been active. But have some things in my life which has caused much stress. I had to go to the emergency room again this past week and my heart went back into rhythm finally. I asked if there was any damage to my heart and was told no. Thankful for that. Thanks for your time. Do take care.
It was stabilized before I left the hospital. I had a hip replacement a few weeks prior to going in. All I have to do now is keep up with my exercises. Nice talking with you.
Yes , I would love that. Thank you
