Does anyone know if APS can affect blood pressure, for the last month (that I know of) my blood pressure has been a bit high. It's was 129 over 92 yesterday. I've usually been on the low end of blood pressure even during pregnancy. The only time it's been elevated is when I had my initial stroke and brain bleed. I'm taking Coumadin and aspirin. Inr was at a low of 1.4 but should be back up in the 3-4 range now.

Aps and blood pressure
Hi,
As you know we are not Doctors here. I can only tell you as to myself.
I had very high bloodpressure before I was properly anticoagulated with a rather high and steady INR. I selftest rather often at home (that is the only way to control the INR) and feel best an an INR of around 4.0. I was in hospital before with an INR oif 3.2 with chestpain. Probably had PEs (micro). This was several years ago. I do an Echocardiograme with doppler every year to control everything.
I today have too high Pulmonary Hypertension and 2 leaking heartvalves but my bloodpressure is ok.
I have my second machine to monitor my bloodpressure at home. I do not do it very often today as it behaves when I can keep the INR in its place and steady.
Before I had together with the high bloodpressure (the INR was often low then) chestpain and had to take an ambulance twice I remember to hospital. I have microemboli so they have never seen anything on me.
I only have very high titres and are triplepositive all the time since 2002.
Yes I am quite sure that high bloodpressure is a symptom for some of us with perhaps heart-issues also. So continue to keep it low!
Best wishes from Kerstin in Stockholm
