Hi, I was on clexane (brand name) for over 10 years, it suited me very well. I also took aspirin and clopydogrel daily.

I bet ur lupus anticoagulant positive?

I am and my INR is up n down. But not as wildly as yours. Between 2.8 & 5.2. But I'm not good out of range.

I hope someone can help u coz with those readings u r not being adequately anticoagulated. Good luck. 💋

Hi, Nice to hear from you again but sorry your INR is still erratic.

I know you have a diffeernce of 1.0 between the two readings (vein and finger-test). I also wonder if you have got a Specialist or ev GP who let you take enought tests with your CoaguChek XS (is that your machine also?) as when you are up and down a lot you must follow your INR closely.

I guess you now know that a lot of things change the INR. Do you eat greens every day also? Do you monitor your INR yourself or is someone telling you what dose to take etc?

Best wishes from Kerstin in Stockholm

I do, for about 5months now? I am very happy with the lovenox... I take subcutaneous injections based on my weight every twelve hours. I can eat what I want and haven't any symptoms. I think it's the best thing! Now I'm not constantly afraid😀

Yes, long term. No, no headaches from APS but did have headache when I pulled some neck muscles. I'm not having any symptoms either!

Cindy do they ever check your blood while on the Lovonox?

Not like warfarin. They do a different test for lovenox and it is well within range of where it is suppose to be . I have routine blood tests for hemoglobin & hematocrit, which is part of a complete blood count: it has been fine. I also have periodic blood chemistry done, including HDLs: again fine. Why do you ask?

I'm still on the Lovonox injections while going through the chemo and radiation. They do weekly CBC blood work to check white and red cell count. I see my Hematologist this week who also is my Oncologist. I haven't focused on my APS and think all symptoms are due to the treatments.

I'm half way finished with three more weeks of daily radiation and four days of chemo. At least now I get to eat whatever the amount is of green leafy veggies.

Is your stomach not completely bruised? After just 2 weeks, my daughters is converted in bruises. A few of them have hard knots under them.

When she injects she must be sure to inject at an angle into fatty skin that is pinched up. Tell her to inject it slowly over at least a slow count of twenty, inject the air that's left in the syringe at the end, then apply direct pressure, but don't rub, just pressure.

She will start to see the lumps and bruises go away.

She should make sure she moves all around ( alternating spots) but stay away from her belly button. I found the lower abd to be easier and I always make sure the beveled edge is upward. Does she inject once or twice a day? Good luck, Cindy in NJ

Jaimaica: you're not sure you like the lovenox or not sure they will keep you on it? Curious? Cindy in NJ

So are you on the lovenox now?

Yes I am on Lovenox daily injection, we tried a 30 day trial and I felt much better, big difference then my insurance said no more, my Hemotologist had to do a Dr to Dr peer review and after showing my insurance the studies done on it for APS patients that do not stabilize on warafin they approved 1 year!!

My sister and I have both been on Lovenox. Other thinners didn’t work as well. After about 5-6 years I recently had small DVT. I find I have some correlation with my DVTs and infection in my body.
