Moving Pain

I have arthritis (I guess). But lately my pain has been in both thumbs, left elbow and now my left foot. That is a new one. It is usually my right toe that hurts. This hurts on the bone on the top outside of left foot. Wondering if something other than arthritis. Thanks.

I suggest you see a Rheumatologist who knows autoimmun illnesses. Also read about the symptoms of Huges Syndrome/APS and Arthritis to see if you recognize some symptoms. Then ask for bloodtest!

Hi everyone this is my first time posting.....I just wanted to know how "rare" Aps/Caps was ? I got "poorly " last year with venomos thrombosis in my right leg which led to a pulmonary embolism double pneumonia being in hospital for a month whilst I had antibiotic after antibiotic....eventually all this infection led to organ shut down ...which led to me being put in an induced coma in ICU for 5 weeks.(I also received kidney dialysis ...and a tracheostomy )which led to chest sepsis) then I was transferred to a renal hospital absolutely terrified of this happening again !!! Days later blood tests confirmed I had Aps and vasculitis of the kidneys and lungs......all this happened in june/July I eventually came out in October then went back in with my inr at 13.3 then came out again in November (for good ..hopefully)

Going through all this and coming out the other end is nothing but a ""miracle"""

I am getting better everyday but this Aps is said to be quite" rare" I was wondering if anyone else just """got"" it

Thanks

Diane

Hi Nannie53,

I can only say that CAPS is not common at all but can happen with HS/APS like it happened to you. Must have been awful and frightening for you!

I have heard others here talking of it so you are not alone. Hope some member can tell you perhaps.

Important of course to have a Specialist of this illness who knows to give you the correct anticoagulation for your symptoms.

Best wishes from Kerstin in Stockholm

Hi Nannie again,

I also suggest you put your own new question on here with your question about CAPS and HS/APS as this question is about "Mowing Pain".

More members may see your question and be able to answer it.

Good Luck!

Kerstin
