Hi there,

I've been taking hydroxy for 18 months. It has greatly improved my fatigue and also joint pain. it did take around 6 months for me to start feeling the benefits as it can take a while to build up In your system.

Yes really good for my balance I noticed the difference within one or two weeks that I was no longer falling or bumping into things, it has to be the hydroxychloroquine from Zentiva though as the others make me unwell, I still am very sleepy though

Hope it works for you too

Yes they are from Zentiva so hoping eventually it will replace the steroids or partlying. Am rattling with all the pills

Hi there best of luck, I could not tolerate the medication, probably due to my mix of diseases, however my daughter has done well on this medication. MaryF

I was on hydroxy for four years but had to come off of it 4 months ago as my stomach could not tolerate it any longer. Although it did help my joints now that I have stopped it my brain feels like it has "woken up" and my stomach is much much better. When I started it my thyroid levels were too low, they have now been sorted, and I do wonder if it was not right for me from the beginning. I guess we all react differently, but I do hope it helps you.

The Rheumatologist did say that he had never heard of it affecting the stomach, my prob was diarrhoea, he halved the dose from 200 twice daily to once daily which improved things slightly. Not sure what dose you are on, perhaps build up gradually, check with your doctors first. Good luck.

I have forgotten. Do you have an APS-Specialist now? Has he told you to take so many to start with?
