Severe Gastritis

Hi has anyone had gastritis from taking Eliquist & placid. I have been so sick from it.

Sorry to read this.  But no, my tummy has been OK since I went gluten free in 2004.  Before that?  Yeah, I had a lot of issues -- mostly gas and bloating. And no, I've never needed to try this drugs.  Good luck.

I am on Eliquis right now, but not the other med mentioned. I don't have the issues with Eliquis that you are suffering with. I was really bad like that with warfarin. I had very bad stomach issues with that blood thinner. I think medicines affect people in different ways all the time. Medicine is sometimes a delicate individualized balancing act. I also am eating more gluten free aware and feel better.Best wishes to you and hope you start feeling better.

I haven't had those issues while on Eliquis, but then I have been taking omeprazole at the same time. Might be worth seeing a doctor to see if something similar might help?

Sorry for late message; my mother has been taking Apixaban (Eliquis) for the past 5 years, and she was diagnosed with gastritis and stomach cancer (adenocarcinoma from gastric ulcer). I believe this blood thinner contributed to formation of her cancer-not genetic, from bacterial infection etc., only from chronic gastritis....
