Sharp Pains

About a week ago I started getting these sharp knife like painful tingling in my hand, foot & thighs. I can move or put pressure on the area & its quits. It s like it moves from 1 area to another. Happens a couple of times a day.

I take Warfin, Plaqunil & Lipitor

If a new symptom do go to the GP, and make sure your B12, D and iron is tested, B12 being low can cause painful symptoms as can low vitamin D.     MaryF

Hi Girl from Tennessee!!! I'm from Long Island, NY! Omg my favorite place in the world! I'll be coming in June to Nashvile! Are u near Nashville! I want to move there but my hubby won't leave NY! Have you been diagnosed with APS!? I agree with Mary! Do u see a good APS SPECIALIST IN TENNESSEE??? How r you treated??? Do they know of APS THERE??? I'm so looking for a good APS Specialist!!! I know that pain and tingling can be a side effect of APS! My sis NANNY 23 also tested positive for our disease!!! She was diagnosed with Neuropathy! Just like my mom whom I'm sure had APS! She had several miscarriages and blood lots at an early age! Godspeed!!!

I live about 6 hours North of Nashville. Love our East Tennessee Mountains!! Yes I have APS. Was diagnosed in Sept 2014. Had a Stroke was perfectly healthy at least I thought. My GP has been my Dr for over 29 yrs, (I am 53 now) he knew something wasn't right. He tested my blood & found I had APS. He admitted not knowing much about APS but immediately started me on Warfin. Then onto Neurologists, they were not much help.... Then I was sent to a Rhemotogist, he is awesome!!! He has me stable, put me on Plaquenil along with the Warfarin. I go every 3 months to be rechecked. He has gone the extra mile & is complying every piece of info on our APS!! He is in Kingsport TN!!! I promise you he will get you straighten out & stable!!! Good Luck would love to have you as a Tennessee Neighbor!!! Good Luck, I know if you come to East TN you will have help!!

Wow just saw ur post thank you so much for that answer! My hubby was diagnosed with early-mid stage ALZHEIMERS/DIMENTIA! We have been to Nashville twice already! Once with the 3 of us and the best was when we brought my sister( Nanny 23) & we Honkey tinkled all thru Nashville having a most memorable time of our lives!!! My hubby want to go at the end of June while he still has some good days! I'm planning the trip this week! East Tennessee is that closer to Memphis cuz this trip we will definitely go to Graceland! We're going to do the drive this time thru the Smokey Mountains! Although we are all NY born we all love Tennessee and Kentucky! My sister also tested positive for APS, but thank God has never had a blood clot! She has thyroid issues and now just DX'd with Neuropathy! She's had tummy issues like me, throughout our lives! She's just getting worse and she goes to my Hemotologist and he wants her scoped and colonoscopy too! How r u doing on Plaquinil! I also have Sojerns and RA/Rheumatoid Arthritis and they want to put me on Plaquinil! I'm in the process of all that now! Has it affected your eyes at all! I had all the baseline tests at my amazing Opthomologist, who to my surprise knew a lot about APS! He tested me for Sojerns and said I cud go on Plaquinil because he took all of the baseline tests for my eyes! After I'm on it 6 months I must come back for all those baseline tests and if any change in my eyes I must go off Plaquinil! Have u had any eye problems since on Plaquinil and it seems to be helping you! I'm very happy it is working out for you now! I'm 63, but a very happy robust 63 who loves country music and concerts are a hobby lol... ! I plan on fighting this dreaded disease so I can go Honky tonking again with my hubby in June, but not having much alcohol as it messes up the INR! On vacation I'll have one or two drinks here and there! We can private message and speak more if u want! You sound like a kind lovely person and I'd love to be ur neighbor one day too!!! Closer to Knoxville not Memphis. About 70 miles North of Knoxville. I have my eyes tested yearly on Plaquenil so far so good not had any issues.

Ok sound beautiful where u live! I hope you r doing well now? Plaquinil is said to be a drug that also treats Malaria! From what I have read it's a successful drug for treating Sojerns and RA also which I also have! I did have my eyes tested and if I start Plaquinil, I'll be retested in 6 months and if any change they'd take me off of it!

Nashville, Tennessee I think I have heard of.  Is it guittars and old cars. I loved Elvis Presley. Some other people loved Tommy Steele but not me. This was around 1959 and you were hardly born at that time. I am born in 1944.

 I was  in New York 1988 and my husband and I stayed on Waldorf Astoria just one night and afterwards we flew to California and we took a Cruise on the Caribean islands for 10 days. This was the trip of my life.

Hi Kerstin I've been feeling better! I must be getting my INR straight! I'm eating better! Sleeping on! The pain in my cald is back and must go to vascular doc and get CAT my memory not good, but clearer! Thank you for your constant unwavering support! Godspeed!
