Hi guys, I have been diagnosed partial deafness and my audiologist in Westside audiology suggested me to use digital hearing aids. Does anybody have experience in using hearing aids? Which is the best one? How can we maintain and clean hearing aids? Please advice me in my concerns. Thank you in advance.

Partial deafness and hearing aids.
Hi do you have a diagnosis of Hughes Syndrome/APS, if you could just confirm so we can help you, or suggest where you can find the information you need. MaryF
I have some balance problem and tinnitus. I wonder whether it is because of Hughes Syndrome.
If you suspect you have this syndrome, having read our charity website: hughes-syndrome.org/ The next step is to ask your GP to send you for these blood tests: hughes-syndrome.org/about-h...
Should you get results from these, we then have a list of specialists in the UK. However until then the cause of your problems could be for many reasons other than Hughes Syndrome/APS.

Hi,
Those symptoms you talk of can well be from APS. In that case you need a Specialist who knows what to look for. Very few doctors know this rare illness. We have too thick blood and need anticoagulation.
I am going to get a hearing aid on Monday next week for the first time. I have tinnitus and a leftsided Otolite-damage from microembolies.
Please do as Mary says and inform us from which country you are as we can help you better. We are not medical trained heere but have APS ourselves and know how it is to live with this rare illness.
Best wishes from Kerstin in Stockholm
