APS Medical Alert Bracelet
I am a member of medic alert who for an annual fee hold all my medical details on file and I wear a bracelet that I purchased from them that alerts emergency services who can then phone for my details and contact numbers. I feel safer with this but I think there are other ways as am sure other members can help you with.
Hi I have seen an advert in one of the membership magazines I receive can't remember if it was in INRreview or the Lupus uk one, not at home until next week for to check, it was for I.C.E TAGS (In Case of Emergency) for to wear round your neck, I'm pretty sure that there is an internet page just look up ice tags, you put emergency contact info on them, I think that there are two different types, and that they only cost about £4 to buy.
Hi thanks for this, I just bought some tags from these guys icetags.co.uk/in-case-of-em...
£3.96 for 3 tags, free delivered. Been meaning to get something like this for a while, but your post spurred me on. The icetags site is very easy to use, I even bought on my mobile!
Hi,
My hospital in Stockholm (my hematologist) has manufactured a card (in hard plastic) in Swedish and English stating APS and increased risk of thrombosis/pulmonary embolism. In case of surgery or immobilisation adequate prophylaxis should be administrated. A doctor on duty for haemostasis should always be contacted. My name etc etc...
I have also a smaller one (also to have in my wallet) stating "increased risk of venous thrombosis" and my doctor and that I am treated with an anticoagulant.
All patiens in Sweden on warfarin have a necklace in metall. We always wear this. This only telling we are on warfarin.
Ask your Specialist if you could have one to wear in your wallet!

Forgot also to add that I have a sticker in my old car tax disc holder so that if you are in an accident they know someone in the car has a medical condition. Mine came from medic alert but I think someone Else came up with the idea so probably online somewhere.
IMy haematological dept issued me with as many cards a I wanted and I have them every where. Regards diane
I have an SOS Talisman bracelet. It has a concertina paper inside with every possible thing medical staff need to know + next of kin. It is totally waterproof and I bought it years ago in H Samuels for £24.99! I also have a sticker on my car rear window saying I wear a Talisman bracelet and a pocket of info attached to my safety belt. Covering all bases!!
