We have a number of people from here in the USA, and some in your area, I am sure they will help you, in the mean time, please look on this useful list, as there are specialists in the USA, who you could perhaps write to. If unable to write in English use 'Google Translate' and keep your sentences simple and also let them know you are writing using that facility. They may be able to direct you to help nearer to your area. I am glad you daughter has received the correct diagnosis, as it is worse not to be diagnosed correctly. All the best to you! MaryF

many thanks for the prompt reply. what I'm seeing is that rheumatologists are doctors and there is no hematologist, the espeialista seeing my daughter is hematolos
I live near Houston in The Woodlands and have APS and Lupus. The best Rheumatologist I have found is Dr. Carmen Perez Masuelli. She also studied APS and is very knowledgeable and up to date with John Hopkins on the disease. She is located in The Woodlands as well as Cypress Station near 1960 and I-45. Unfortunately, I have not found a hematologist who is up to date with APS. Some of the best hematologists in Houston have never heard of Hughes Syndrome. which tells me they are not following it. Dr Perez cares about her patients and does follow it closely. There is a Hematologist who does not manage APS but is considered a top notch doctor in Houston by the name of Dr. Lawrence Rice. I hope this helps.
hello good day We only retrieve it because we needed a another opinion and trying to learn how APS in another country We liked it, I spend time and reassured us we Greetings !!!

Claudia, I know in Texas but my doctor London (Munther Khamashta) is a specialist and has many contacts you would go if he recommended me.
A few years back the University of Texas, Division of Rheumatology, participated in a clinical trial involving statins and aps. You are fortunate to live in a city where there is a university that is researching aps. I don't think you will find more knowledgable doctors in your area. The rheumatology clinic is located at 6410 Fannin, Houston. You can schedule an appointment by calling 713-486-3100. No I have never been there but I considered going there even though it is 1,000 miles away from me.
