Pregnancy update

Hi everyone, thought I'd update to give others hope as this board helped me so much when in the depths of despair! I'm currently 32.5 weeks pregnant. Had a growth scan today and baby is spot on in size, already an estimated 4 lbs 6 or 2kg. Placenta and blood flow look good and so far blood pressure fine. Such a contrast to my two previous miscarriages and twin stillbirth. The blood thinners seem to be working. I've had two appointments with a consultant haemotologist who is now listed on the HF website after my recommendation. I have persistent positive Lupus Anticoagulant - albeit just positive but enough to have caused havoc with trying to have a baby. I know I'm not a success story yet but it's looking good! The obstetrician is pleased and has down graded my risk now. I'm being induced at 38 weeks to be on safe side and will need blood thinners 6 weeks after too. To me they really are miracle drugs!

Congratulations on getting so far Hopingforababy. Its great to hear your update. My bump is still on course too but looks like I'm being left to 40 weeks for induction if necessary as my consultant is worried about high emergency c-section rates from inductions. Fingers crossed time passes quickly!

Hi Bat_friend, funny you should say that but I saw my consultant today and he said exactly the same thing. They're going to check me at 38 weeks and if favourable will induce, if not they'll leave me another week- providing baby is still ok etc. he said best to wait till body is properly ready which is fair enough as long as I know baby is ok. How many weeks are you?

Not what you're looking for?
