Since being diagnosed with APS I have had heart palpitations. 24 hour tape found 3 ectopic heart murmurs. Not serious, but take medication

to assist with palpitations. Now not able to sleep on left side. Anyone else found this problem?

Despite having all the heart machines, noticed that neither have picked up anything and yet in hospital, they were always connecting me to machine as they said something was not quite right. My palpitations are every day and the feeling makes me cough, they are strange sensation like a mobile phone when it notifys messages, shrilling sound. also being diagnosed with heart murmur when I went to St T, although it the Hept that also diagnosed it here also. I must ask at Tommies when I go next what to do.

I used to get palpitations daily, with a racing heart, I was also connected to the heart machine as I also suffer vasospastic Angina, seems I have paroxysmal (now and again) AF - I am on diltiazam which regulates the heart. Although my heart no longer races it still goes out of sync where similar to you I feel it during palpitations. The cardiologist assured me it is not life threatening, although I did raise that AF and or the vasospasm can cause clots, he said"no you will be fine" I have wondered since my Dx if this is still the case.

Keep well smile often

I was told in the middle 80's I had an ectopic heart beat but not to worry about it - so I didn't. It was as a result of palpitations that I had and seen on the ECG.

After my stroke I had abnormal ECG's which lead to angiogram which was again perfectly normal and then given a dx of Cardiac Syndrome X to explain the pain. Medications given did not help so I was taken off them and GP just says take diazepam if it gets bad which does seem to help.

Since being on Heparin the CSX has been better and more to the point I don't worry or panic so much now when I get the pain as it was becoming a vicious circle. Just hope if I was ever having a MI I would know the difference LOL!!

Hi Mary

I haven't ever been checked or dx with any heart probs but if I lay on my left side I have the kind of sensation I used to only get after a very good night out! I feel like I am falling out of bed or riding a boat in a very bad storm and my husband has to hold on to me as I am terrified, the room spins and I feel violently sick. So I don't ever choose to lay on my left side!

Regards

I'm currently wearing a 24 hour monitor as the cardiologist is playing chase the palpatation again.

I've recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea and while wired up to one of Papworths sleep study machines I had a bit of a palpatation before my heart rate went up into the 150's for an hour in my sleep, if it was a dream it must have been good, but unfortunately I dont remember it.

I've noticed a few "flutters" and a weird sensation like having a mobile on vibrate in a breast pocket during the day, but its gone as fast as it arrives and almost leaves you wondering if it ever existed if that makes any sense...

I've had the palpitations for the last year or so off and on. Had a TIA a few weeks back am now on warfarin and the palpitations seemed to stop bu came back again this week. Went to ER but of course they wouldn't happen there so will get the 24 hour halter on Monday to see if they can pick anything up.

I also get the dizziness on the left side on occasions.

Probably far too late for this reply but I have APS and started getting palpitations. Had a 24 hour tape and was diagnosed with triple ectopic heart beats. Put on Bisoprolol 2.5mg and very much better. love Mary
