Hello ! I've been living with this disease for about 10 years now and also have a skin graft surgery coming up ! The disease has started to spread . What is the best way to remove hair especially in the groin area ?!!

Removing hair is really not a good idea, I would advise trimming but shaving or waxing is likely to make it worse.

Would laser hair removal work/help?

Having hair down there isn't a cause for HS but ingrowing hairs can make it worse. It's a personal choice at the end of the day but I've always been advised by the medics to trim only :-)

Thank you for your reply. I do trim, however if I knick myself, I'm in for big trouble. And of course with having to wear undies, that can wreck havoc too while it grows back. Any suggestions on best underwear types/brand besides just wearing a larger size to avoid them fitting tight?
