I assume this is the same as hibiclens. I've been using it once daily for around 3 years.

My hs probably isn't as bad as most, but I've still been struggling with it.

Yes, it has helped me. I wash with it daily under my arms and sometimes my back for nasty cysts.

I also use Aczone under my arms and the combo seems to keep the hs somewhat calm.

It helps to keep the area clean when you have an open lesion but it doesn’t help to prevent HS as HS is not caused by a lack of personal hygiene, it’s an immune condition

Yes, been using it for two years though I’m still dealing with the pain and keeping them dry it Also appears that after I use it. It’s starts all over again with the bumps

It’s worth researching

I haven’t had any new lesions in 2 years and the old ones that do resurface are very easy to manage and are almost like white heads instead of holes the size of 5p’s.

I was Stage 3 3 years ago before I went on the trial that got it approved for NHS use.

Thanks guys ive been using it and at first i thought it was helping loads until i got yet another lump that took awhile to finially well you no. I hate how you get that moment of you can finally feel good about yourself then your knocked right back to square one. Not being able to wear certain clothing or colours incase the scaring rips or abcess leaks etc.

i have been diagnosed just a few weeks ago with HS. And the dermatologist did prescribe me the hibisc liquid soapish thing. I am supposed to use it once a day before my shower on dry skin. However, this liquid soap is like glue to me. Could you let me know how you use it? like do u mix it with water in ur hands to be able to spread it on ur affected areas? are we supposed to rub it on the skin? or just apply it? i feel so ignorant.. i was expecting a normal foaming soap so i didnt ask the dermatologist about it. thank you so much for the help.

I use it in the shower i place some on my hand and massage it into my skin in the areas that flare up then wash it off/rinse off

awesome. So you basically use it like a normal shower gel. I wanted to do that but the dermatologist was very specific about the 5mn before the shower on the dry skin and let it rest. Odd no? I will try your way in any case for a start. thank you so much Tankette for taking the time to help :)
