Flare ups

The picture I have attached is my current flare up, I have been in lots of pain for about 3 days now. I have borrowed an old tee shirt off my Mum and I have been putting the hot flannel and germolene on to help and numb it a bit, but I am in agony!

Rubbing some cold ice in a flannel helps with pain, worked for me and reduces the swelling. Make sure the ice is wrapped up and not directly on your skin.

Hello. Try paracetamol/iboprufen. Warm soaks in the bath. Cover with dressings so clothes aren't running against it.

I've been AIP for nearly a month and realised mine can be controlled through diet and the above till I realise which food it is causing my flare.

I’ve had this one for a week now and it’s still bleeding/leaking, I’ve done everything that has been said on here and it’s still the same.. would there be any other options?

Oh love I'm sorry to hear that.

I take zinc supplements, turmeric supplements, cod liver oil and vitamin d on a daily basis too.

I aim for minimum 8 hours sleep as the body heals best at night.

I healed my ones of had for 6 months through AIP

If you are able to would you be able to see a GP?

Wishing you healing vibes.

I am going back to the doctors in October, I’m at my wits end with them now and it’s making me feel rubbish.

OMG I'm so sorry you have to go through that. I go through the same thing every month and I know how painful it is. Hope you get better soon.

Thank you, I’ve been to the doctors and they’ve put me on a course of antibiotics, but if it doesn’t clear up this time, I’ve got to be referred to the dermatologist.

Hi, mine is triggered by monthly hormones, I am on metformin which is a diabetic drug, however, appears to help. I am also using a silver gel and that is definiately helping reduce any flares and helps heal the skin. I have stage 4 tracking of this condition and I am doing AIP, using detol and antibacterial wipes morning and night, using silver gel, Primapore dressings, sterile swab patches and I can see improvements. I have had 2 surgeries but I am doing my best now to control this with the things I have listed. I also take zinc and turmeric daily. If you get hot, make sure you keep using antibacterial wipes as it gets rid of the extra staph on ur skin. Hope all this helps, but any questions please ask as I'm feeling like I'm an expert in this now as I'm telling the dermatolgist what I'm doing to treat myself.

I’m currently on flucloxacillin 500mg for my current flare up as it’s not healed after 4 weeks, I’ve cut down on a lot of things too.

Ok, so I’ve finished the course of antibiotics and it doesn’t seem to have cleared.

Hi! Antibiotics are useless they won't work because he is not a bacterial condition. GPS just give that to people like us because they don't know what to do really! Read about the condition in the hidden plague and you will understand better hs and how it attack our body. Antibiotics will actually make your condition worse. You have to be on the Paleo diet. IT DOES WORK!

The autoimmune protocol really does work. I was on it a month and a half before one of my lesions totally healed and faded into a scar I can barely see. I should have took a photo. I've fell off the wagon a bit lately and I've had a reaction to most foods not 9n the aip from mood to ibs to skin. I've got one more holiday next week. After that I'm going AIP permanent with no reintroduction until I'm satisfied with all areas being healed even if it takes a year. This pain is not worth food.
