Pls help can these be HIV rash?
That hardly looks like a rash at all - could be insect bites or anything . It does not look like an " HIV rash " .
I'm not a doctor, but no, that doesn't look like a rash from HIV.
I think Griffon has little experience and if guesswork is all he/she can give then she/he shouldn't write anything . Me neither, but I had something very, very similar (I would say identical) on my arms, knees and went to an online doctor who like Griffon thought it was insect bites. Then I went to a real skin specialist, who looked carefully then he asked me if I had a recent infection. Yeah a week or so ago I had a cold I told him. Mine was a viral exanthem caused by a virus he told me - and it must have been a cold virus and not acute HIV because I had no sex two years prior to this and none since (get out the violins LOL - btw I always carry an HIV test kit on holiday - I met this real hot woman, and she was ready and willing. When I asked her for a 10 minute HIV test she went real cold on me LOL) Gogo - give us all an update please
Did u find out ?
Am also experiencing some rashes am very scared
Yes I was losing my mind until I go and get tested. Those things were insect bites. I don't have HIV. Apparently I was pregnant that explained the other symptoms. I had a miscarriage though. Don't stress yourselves too much go and get tested. Plus you can live with HIV even if you have it. Get marry, have kids. As long as you take your medicine. It is like having diabetes.
Rashes can be a symptom of 100 different things, see a skin specialist. If you have been at risk then get STD tests, worrying won’t do you any good and will make it worse. HIV isn’t easy to catch and the treatments nowadays mean your life expectancy won’t be much different, you can happily reach 70 years old plus....
To the guy who asked Griffins advice before, don’t be so critical - you should have seen a skin specialist in the first place. This forum is for people who have HIV and need advice to help live with it, you chose to come here and ask for help and that’s what Griffin did, he tried to reassure you that it was unlikely to be an HIV rash and to go get tested if you were worried. The worrying you experience is worse in most cases for you than HIV. Don’t come here for advice then slate the admins.
