HIV testing - this is not the forum -a gentle reminder

I am surprised to see so many posts on this forum from people who have tested negative, or who have anxieties about testing or risks. I would draw your attention to the title of the forum "Self help for the HIV positive community " and the forum moderators pinned post on the right " the worried well "

There are other forums on Health Unlocked for those seeking help regarding HIV or sexual health testing. This forum was originally aimed at the HIV positive community. Please remember this when posting .

Hi , I get your point , but unless I missed something the the title of this forum is " HIV Partners " , which did appear to cause some confusion at one time as people posting seemed under the impression that it was a dating site !

The " is this an HIV rash " posts are tedious , but there obviously is an HIV related issue in anxiety about contracting the infection , and as such I feel that this does have a place here as an HIV subject . Although this is mundane to those of us living with the virus , these posts do spark discussion and hopefully provide information to anyone else seeking information on the subject .

I can see this has been discussed in the "worried well " pinned post from 2 years ago. I also notice the moderator hasnt subsequently posted since.

Its aims were " to support people who are living with HIV not the worried well".

" the main aims of this community which is to help support each other in living well with HIV "

I take your point but the aims of the forum were never about testing - and there are sexual health forums on Health Unlocked that can answer these queries. These anxieties can be addressed - I'm just simply saying its not the right forum

As an example, all circumcision related posts on the "Mens Health " forum are reposted on to a separate , dedicated forum for such posts.

Sure - it just seems a shame that the space is not being used very much by the individuals it was designed to support - and who would if its all about testing.
