Hi, I was diagnosed June 1st. I've had low days but as someone with a history of anxiety and mild depression, I've surprised myself with how rational I'm being about this. Yes, there is still a stigma and ignorance and for that reason I don't yet feel able to be totally public but I think it's important not to internalise that. Most people have put themselves at some risk. We just got unlucky and contracted HIV. We can adjust to that though

I'm a 30 yr old female. Been positive since 2013 and I still have a hard time talking about it let alone thinking about the fact.

Every since I found out I've been a different person. Simply different.

Aloha!

My names Tim, 26 from the Midlands. Diagnosed about 6 months ago, straight onto tablets and became undetectable very quickly. My family and close friends are fine with it all, and recently I decided to disclose my status publicly, which was a great feeling, and I've only had positive responses from friends family and colleagues.

I'm more active on the Terrance Higgins forum, and new to this one, but I'll try and keep on top of this one too :)

You are a dangerous moron that could lead to the painful death of many and the spread of this terrible disease.

I never state anything that cannot be proven. It is fictitious. Not one virologist on the planet has been able to prove it even exists.

you need to get a life, seems you just want to scare people. It's idiots like you that adds to stigma and makes our life hell. If you was hiv+ , which I don't think you are, then you wouldn't be saying things like that

Hi my name is Sanj

During the summer of 2004, I was feeling very tired and began having seizures. At first, I didn't know why I would pass out. Then one day at a farmers market, I had a seizure and passed out in a crowd. I was taken to a hospital where I was diagnosed with full-blown AIDS and pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) in August of 2004. My CD4 was 21 and my viral load was over 1 million. After a week in the hospital on strong antibiotics and beginning medication for HIV I recovered to my current CD4 of 700 and my viral load is undetectable. I had some problems with anxiety and depression, but today I've coped with the virus very well.
