hi all. I had my 6 monthly appointment with consultant end of January and had my bloods done. I am due my routine US in April but yesterday I received a phone call informing me I have also been referred for an MRI scan. I have compensated cirrhosis, take no medication and previously had an MRI in 2021. Does anyone on here know why this would happen?

Hi Ruby, usually monitoring will be done with blood tests, US etc, but sometimes they may want to take more detailed tests/scans, eg like an MRI, for a more detailed look at things. I hope all goes well, but do get in contact with us directly if we can be of any further guidance or support. Best wishes
