I’ve been given amoxicillin by dentist is it okay to take it? I know it’s a very common antibiotic. Post heart attack i have bits of PAF, NSVT and SVT. Im on usual heart medications and riveroxaban. Anyone have experience with this? Thank you.

sorry for this delayed response, we have been away for a few days. I had a mitral valve replaced in September 2020 and also have severe arrhythmia, which upto now has not been problematic (fingers crossed). I now take aamoxicillin before any dental procedure, even a scale and polish; I understand it's a precaution in case any bacteria ends up in the bloodstream and finds its way to your heart.
