Hello everyone, Ive been anemic for many years now apparently, i took IV 3 years ago, and thought I was fine. Then one year ago my palpitations started. I did a holter and they said my "heart skips beats". I had many irregular heartbeats.
My nails also have ridges sticking out since 4 years.
I did ferritin test and it was 5.5 so doctor ordered Iron IV again... I did it and went up to 60, then a 2 months later did a test my ferritin went down to 30, then another 2 months later it went down to 17!! Even though I took iron pills for the last 2 months after it went down to 30. It still decreased. Even though I've been trying to eat right.
Now my doctor ordered more IVs and he said that once my levels reach 100+ my palpitations will get better.
A bit of background, I used to have endometriosis 11 years ago. And Ive been suffering very heavy periods for around 5 years.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you
