I have had something like this for 3 years, been to A&E twice but it seems unconnected to my heart. Mine is like a very fast pulse, regular, too fast to count, maybe 200 or more bpm. I think it is a muscle twitch. It always happened at night, would wake me up. It was under, or in, the ribs on my left side but I also felt it under my ribs in the centre. I get it rarely now.
