Just wanting to compare experiences. Never really struggled with ectopics till now. Thought it may have been 'low flutter', as that's what I had after being put on Flecainide before 2nd ablation, with x3 circuits of arrythmia. Persistent
Time before I was in persistent AF. Anyone else similar ?
And what gets rid of yours apart from more meds. Only seemed to start on me, when down to 2.5mg bisoprolol plus 100mg bd Flecainide. Wanting to come off both, when possible.
Appreciate people's thoughts ?

I had an ablation in May 2021 for nsvt , post ablation I had to go back on Bisoprolol and flecaneide as I had a hospitalisation and two other episodes of tachycardia.
12 + months on I am now fully weaned off both drugs. A 48 hour holter monitor showed an average of ten ectopics over 48 hours, my electrophysiologist was happy for me to start weaning off the drugs.
It wasn’t easy coming off Bisoprolol, I did that by dropping 2.5 mg every two weeks, the ectopics got much worse before it improved again.
I have found that it took my heart and body a long time to adjust from the ablation and then the drug wean, but definitely getting there.
I am just now on my last day of a Highland Island walking holiday with friends for 10 days. Week before I went I was still having a lot of strong runs of ectopics. Yet each day on being here, the steadiness of walking each day seems to have settled it down a bit more.
Am still taking bisoprolol 2.5mg and the Flecainide but hoping to start coming off these when back home. And to start rebuilding my fitness. Definitely a slower progress than my first ablation.
Do you find that you are able to slowly build strength with exercise now can I ask ?
Once off all the drugs it is easier to exercise more. I took advice from a physio too - unfortunately I have long covid too which has affected me fatigue wise- but their advice to me was to increase my exercise by 20% each week, if I increase the difficulty keep the time the same etc. That has really helped me and prevented me pushing myself too hard and ending completely exhausted. I also asked for referral to cardio rehab, I access gym equipment once a week under physio. assistant supervision, because exercise was a big trigger for NSVt I wanted to build my confidence too. Physio isn’t really offered to ablation patients, which is crazy as so many arrhythmia patients will suffer from anxiety surrounding exercise etc.
Hope your recovery continues to go well, sounds like you are doing well if you are on a walking holiday. Definitely an aim of mine to fully recover so I can go on long hikes again.
Thanks v much for that . We'll was a slow ish holiday self made with friends, but yes a bit more exercise. Will take your advice in the 20% approach. Safe journey!
