Ectopics, estrogen and covid boosters

Hi, I haven't been here in a while but thought I would share my journey so far and have a quick moan 😉.

I developed PVCs back in April, 4% load. Learned they were benign but was offered flecainide and atropolol if I wanted to try. That was a drug too many for me and I got cold feet. By this time I realised they were worse when I got indigestion and reflux, which had been an incessant problem for me since Sep 2020. Various other issues made me put 2+2 together an realise I was peri-menopausal. In August I started HRT and the PVCs haven't gone but were massively reduced so that most days I no longer notice them til unless I am very tired. So far so good.

Two days ago I had a moderna booster shot. Ugh. Now they are back with a vengeance. Along with a horribly sore armpit. So I know my lymph nodes are firing, but 😱 when will the blasted PVCs clam down? Anyone have any experience?

I've had ectopics for decades and they are always worse if my immune system is challenged. Sometimes it takes weeks for my heart to settle down to a level that is less noticeable but so far it always has done!

(I usually get Mobitz II AV block when mine gets upset too but even this usually improves too).

It's horrible and I'm sorry for you and just wanted to offer a positive hope!

Thanks Denise, it's reassuring to know that this is not an uncommon reaction. I am not often ill and have not really had a challenged immune system since the ectopics began.

Thank you for your reply - it makes taking the time to respond worthwhile.

While they say that ectopics are benign they are slightly disconcerting and quite uncomfortable at times, aren't they.

I hope it settles down again soon.

Yeah, absolutely horrible to be frank. They seem to have settled a bit from yesterday. Still feeling quite shuddery internally but now I have massive abdominal pain and bloating too so maybe it's just that menopause is throwing something new (or old....) at me and so I haven't noticed them so mu mch 🤣

I have idiopathic chronic pancreatitis and get SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) as a result so get that sort of thing too - and all the grief from hormones, etc!

And my heart doesn't like any of those things. 🙄

It might be worth getting a GI referral if it keeps being a problem. Don't overlook something by mistake because of something else.
