SVT & Adrenaline level

I have suffered from bouts of very bad SVTs for years. I did a test to check my blood Adrenaline & noadrenaline level, and they were high, from constant stress, even though i dont feel stressed.

It is causing my SVT

If you suffer from SVT, do this test.

That’s interesting. I suffer from awful svt and it makes me feel so ill. How do you get the test. Sorry you have svt too.

It is a blood test. They can also do it through urine, but it takes longer to get the result.

Hi just out of curiosity how fast does your heart rate get mine gets to 210 each time on the verge of passing out. Just wondered if you had any thing to help

280 bpm was highest but it’s always way over 200 in svt. Like you I almost pass out ongoing until back in nsr, the chest pain is unbearable too and needs iv morphine for the pain. It is totally horrendous. I now have flecainide as pill in the pocket and am on regular beta blocker, it seems to help get back in nsr, on occasion I need iv flecainide in hospital.

Thank you for reply. I’m living on my nerves at the moment waiting for another one. I just think I’m going to die all day everyday. It’s horrible.

It really is awful I totally agree. Feels like having a time bomb strapped to our chests constantly waiting for it to go off. Honestly it is so scary and somehow doesn’t get any easier over time. I have been dealing with svt since 2012, and af since 2009. I always know where the nearest hospital is wherever I go just in case I need it. I hope you can find some peace of mind somehow, have a peaceful Christmas and stay safe. X

This sounds just like me. I use to plan my route now I don’t leave the house. But at the moment the uk nhs is poor so could be waiting up to 2 hours for ambulance and 4 in a&e. Xx

I struggle daily with the anxiety as my heart rarely leaves me alone and feels like a time bomb strapped to my chest forever threatening to go off. It’s wearying.

I wish there was a quick fix or a proper cure it feels like such torture each time you have one .It certainly does wear you down and stop any kind of fun in your life .🙏🏻How old are you if you don’t mind me asking?

I am in my early seventies and had af since I was fifty nine. It doesn’t get any easier unfortunately.
