PACs for 2 months

I had a baby 8 weeks ago and the last week of my pregnancy (at 37 weeks) I started getting PACs. I felt every thump in my chest. I went to the ER 2x and that’s when I was diagnosed with PACs. I had my son and I’m still getting them. Sometimes I feel the thump, sometimes feel a flutter and sometimes it feels like a weird sensation in my throat that goes up to my face. I’ve been to two cardiologists and they tell me it’s benign. I’ve had 2 echocardiograms, 2 holter monitors and an echo stress test. The holders showed a little more than 1,000 PACs a day. I started a beta blocker 4 days ago because I’m symptomatic and feel no different. I’m so scared. I just want this to go away. Any advice or anyone with PACs experience?

I know exactly what you are going through and it can consume every minute of your day. I've had mine for 17 years. Sounds bad but it varies a lot. Sometimes 4 or 5 thumps a day. Other times a strange flutter for about 5 seconds. Small amounts of magnesium taurate (125mg a day) definitely calm mine down but stressing about it makes everything 1000% worse! Calm breathing the whole day can bring a nice thump-free day. My advice is stay calm and try to ride out this nasty moments.....

Hi I too suffer with PACs that seems to have worsened since I had my kids. My last holter showed 3000 but the cardiologist has told me to ignore them which is easier said than done. Apparently they do t worry unless you are having around 20000. I don’t take anything for them and they definitely are worse when I’m tired or near my period. I am trying magnesium supplements again to see if they help. They are very annoying but I don’t get any other symptoms and if I focus too much on them they are a lot worse. I don’t think I will ever be free of them so I’m just doing my best to accept them

Hi...thanks for your response. It does make me feel a little better knowing I’m not alone. I do get light headed sometimes from them. And I sometimes feel the thumping. It’s just scary. I had a stress test the other day and not one PAC which was great but makes me think my doctor thinks I’m crazy. Sometimes I feel them all day. It’s all I think about.

I am fully aware of them and I get them pretty much all day on and off however when I exercise they do seem to lessen a lot. I do hate them and wish I didn’t have them and I think I’m driving my husband mad. But as the doctors don’t seem overly concerned I am just trying to accept them for what they are an annoyance. It is very hard though so i completely get how you feel. Tiredness definitely worsens them but I also think how we feel about them

Yes I get that...I driving my husband crazy. They are definitely worse as the day goes on. The morning is when I feel them the least. I’ve given up coffee and am trying to change how I eat.
