Pacemaker utilisation

I had a pacemaker fitted 6 weeks ago after suffering heart block.

Today I had my first pacing review and was advised that my pacemaker was supporting my heart about 1% and my own heart doing 99% of the work.

On face value that sounds positive but having given it a bit of thought means it must be going off upto 1000 plus times in any 24 hour period.

My question is does anybody else know their own numbers to compare whether my results typical or not.

Thanks Alan

Not dissimilar results. I think that it depends what your settings are. I had my six weeks check a couple of weeks ago. I had been 4% paced with a lower setting of 50bpm which was then increased to a more usual 60bpm after I reported “funny turns”. I’d expect my PM to kick in more therefore going forward.
