Why are arrhythmias worst after eating?

I know that little and often is best.

Is it that the heart has to work harder as food is being digested (what I've always thought) or another reason? Thx

I think it's something to do with the vagus nerve being in close proximity to the stomach and is therefore irritated when stomach is full. I am not medically trained though!
