Good Luck - sounds like a Tavvy ? My husband had conventional open heart aortic valve replacement in August and all good now. Take your time and all offers of help.

Hi Pete. First thing don’t be afraid. These surgeons are fantastic. I have had two heart valve replacements which were both open heart surgery. The staff are great and I can honestly say I never had any pain. The operation you are having is I assume is a TAVI procedure. This is usually a day procedure and you will be up and about the next day. I also had TAVI procedures with my heart operation and all that is left is a tiny scar in my groin. Hopefully this gives you a bit of piece of mind. Good luck to you and start looking forward to a long healthy life.

Regards Mike

dear complicated case, don’t be scared, remember to them this is daily stuff, but to us the recipient it’s big stuff. I had a piggy valve aortic valve replacement two years and it was scary but once there I had confidence in the people and here I am, still having a useful and happy life. Lean on your nearest and dearest and be happy this is available to you. I hope this treatment helps you cope with the rest of what life has in store for you doreen
