Hi this is my 16th day after my total abdominal hysterectomy, I had my staples out Wed (2 days ago) and non adhesive gauze was put over where the staples had been to stop any sweating, my wound is on my bikini line and part of it when I have changed the dressing is still bleeding a little is this normal.

Hiya 😊 I would say yes it's still normal to have a light bleeding after your hysterectomy. It can bleed up to 6 weeks. You body needs time to recover, just take it easy. But if you are not sure just give your GP a call and check with her or him, nothing wrong with asking. But I believe that it is ok that you still bleed a bit. Enjoy your day ☺️
