So had my hysterectomy and bowel prolapse repair on the 21st home on the 23rd. I had minimal pain and minimal discharge. Suddenly I am bleeding, not heavily, but was not expecting this as when I left hospital I had no bleeding to speak of. Is this normal.

Yes, some light bleeding or spotting is normal at this stage. Try searching for "HysterSisters bleeding after hysterectomy".
Also, you might want to join "The Monthly Clubs / May" forum at the hysterectomy association site (See "May 2019 part 1" and "May 2019 part 2") as you can discuss your concerns with other ladies who have had a hysterectomy this month.
Best of luck with your recovery.
I had an abdominal hysterectomy end of March 2019. Bleeding lasted 4 weeks, disappeared for 5 days then started with bright red spotting for an hour then light spotting daily until my 2nd post-op visit at 6 weeks. My doctor used silver nitrate. Silver nitrate is a natural compound that helps create a scab to help stop bleeding. Bleeding stopped immediately and never came back. He told me I did nothing wrong to cause the bleeding and it happens. There was a small area that was taking longer to heal. It would have healed on it's own. I wish I had called him and gone earlier because I worried about it everyday. No matter how many times I read it was normal I couldn't wrap my mind around it being ok.
