Hi I would go to the doctor to get checked out . Probably all part of the healing process ,I'm just over 10 weeks tah bso and still get pain, swelling and bit of brownypinky discharge. Hope this helps x

I think I’d get this checked out by your GP. It’s probably nothing to worry about as long as it is causing more pain or making you feel unwell, but better safe than sorry.

That should say “not causing more pain”. Sorry, couldn’t edit it for some reason. X

I’m just sitting in gp surgery now, I’m prepared with urine sample (coz they always ask) x x

Good, but do ask to be examined. I had problems that felt like a UTI but turned out to be a granuloma on my vaginal cuff that needed further surgery because I’d left it too long. Good luck xx

The joys of being a woman, especially when you think we go through such a lot with operations to then get further complications x

I hope all is ok x

Thinks it may be a urine infection another 5 day course of antibiotics, if cramping hasn’t gone by Monday back for examination 😬

I just made three months post op. I had crampy and bleeding three weeks post op. The bleeding got worse and I began passing clots. Long story short - I ended up having emergency surgery. I tore my vaginal cuff as well as my vaginal wall. We think it was from a sneeze.... consult your doctor about what your feeling. The sight of blood is not good. It’s usially a sign of you doing too much or that something may be torn. If you begin saturating pads - definitely get to your doctor. Feel better soon. My prayers are with you!

I hope you are ok now Diva?

It just goes to show you even a normal bodily fiction like a sneeze is deadly at 3 weeks post op. I've went up and down with week 3 being better than Two but week 5 for example I felt more tired and crampy that weeks 3&4. I went walking at week 5 and tool 2 days rest to recover, felt so drained!

Only thing really getting to me on HRT post LH BSO+cervix is the muscle pain/cramp...so much so my leg was asleep when I stood up yesterday I almost feel over like Jake the Pake with his extra leg getting in the way!

Yes, I am much better now - thank you!!

I’m 14 weeks post op. I’ve not had any spotting or cramping since the second surgery. My energy levels are about 90 percent back to normal. My Doc gave me iron pills to help with that and encouraged me to get plenty of rest.

Walking is good - short distances to start, at a very slow pace. Over time you will be able to pick up the pace and go a longer distance.

Take things slow and heal one day at a time God’s speed and grace. 😉

I'm really glad to hear your feel healed inside and no further complications! Is that you 11 weeks post 2nd surgery or 14 post initial?

I'm definately feeling better toward this weeks close.

The odd thing for me is the aches in my neck muscles and shoulders, very similar to that 1st exercise burn after a long time not exercising. My leg has been asleep as I've stood up quite a few times but the blood returns to it very quickly!

I'm only hesitant that my back pain is still very present but I'm 9 weeks post op so I guess it's early days. Before the hysterectomy my back showed that I had several herniated discs so I'm just hoping that time is going to heal them.

I have always managed to keep my back and core strong with exercise and my back has got bad in the past with me having placed the blame on gynae issues, namely my big bulky bog of a womb and poison ivy endometriosis herself...as those got worse I couldn't exercise because of pain.

I really wish to resume a fit and active lifestyle and perhaps better than before (though small steps I'm being very sensible with just a dietary approach.)

I put on 3 stone whilst my issues peaked. Lots of time bedridden.

Thank you. Keep doing great! I was really shocked that a cough did that to your cuff...I get the biggest sneezes out of no whete no warnings yet didn't seem to gave any in the first month! I was actually worried about them hitting as I usually get them in bouts!

Stay well!

I’m 14 post initial surgery.

One day at a time. I truly understand the saying everyone heals differently.

Luckily I lost 15 pounds during my recovery. My portion sizes decreased by half as I just didn’t have an appetite. Plus I was only drinking water. No coffee with those yummy creamers and no martinis .... lol!!

My doctors advised me to only to cardio. No weight training for another month.

You’ll get back to yourself soon. It just takes time!

One thing in my life I've never lost in my appetite lol! That's amazing! Do you think hormone levels changing affected your appetite? I know they can say post op you don't really feel like solids..I was like that for the evening toast and then ate like a bear in the morning lol!

Yes I'm hearing lots of women saying post hysterectomy really be careful what you lift for at least 6 months. I suppose better to air on the side of caution as the flip side is horrendous back to surgery stories!

Thank you!

You continue to do well!

I dong know what really caused my change of appetite. I slept a lot in the morning after getting my son off to school. When I finally got around to eating it was lunch time and I only wanted half a sandwich or a little soup. I guess my calorie intake was just less. The first few weeks I do recall having my soups than heavier food. Eating a lot of green vegetables helped with the severe constipation.

Yes, be cautious and don’t do too much. Heal internally!!

Keep feeling better... 😉

Hi Hutchy did your bleed pass?

Was it an infection?

I read somewhere that (if you keep ovaries) endometrial tissue if still present can bleed at the TOM? I dunno if it applies to you but some women keep cervix and can have mini period type bleeds? (I believe if you have your ovaries or are on HRT and have a cervix this can happen to some unfortunate women.)

I read up in this and decided to take cervix away mainly as I had extensive endometriosis and was concerned about leaving anything behind that coukd need a further surgery.

I'm hoping the ole intimacy game when I feel ready is still enjoyable for both! Please God Im young Ive still life left in this bird yet!

Interested to hear if you got over your bleed.

Good luck.

Yep it turned out to be an infection, I’ve had everything taken away 😓, I’ve finally got appt with hrt specialist on 5th June which may not be long to some people but to be it feels ages away, I’m struggling with not sleeping & hot flushes/night sweats at the minute, I’m trying sage & vitamin E (fingers crossed it works)....I’m with you although I feel disgusting at the min & hoping that at my age my libido is still there 😬😬😬

Almost better Hutchy it was an infection and not some kind of cling on endometrial gland monthly bleed from those deviant little cells 😈😈😈

I really feel for you with the HRT situation. I hope your natural path works until you can get sorted out. I was convinced I was perimenopausal before the Op. Way too many symptoms ongoing.

I am feeling more like my old self in that respect, little change, my thought process and personality is really no different and Im not feeling under any duress. I somehow wondered would losing my own hormones change me!?

I was a sweater before HRT and always always feel warm so I can't expect miracles. I can remember being like that since I was 14. If I went from outside to inside my face would sweat as my internal thermostat seems to struggle. I sweat through my top lip and face this day.

I feel no where near ready for intimacy yet. Hubby will just continue to wait. Hope he can fit into the New designer Vag Canal or I may need a new hubby!

Sorry to be crude sometimes a laugh gets me through!

X
