Hi looking for some advice. I had a hysteroscopy two weeks ago, a polyp and some fibroids were removed and all seemed fine. over past couple of days I have definitely had my first post op period, began light but tonight is really heavy with big clots. i was told to expect my first period 4-6 wks after the op. Has anyone else had a similar experience - did your periods settle down? i had the op to deal withmy heavy bleeding

Hi,I just saw your post and I guess it's to late to respond now. However I will tell you my experience.I was bleeding for a 10 days after polyp removal and doctor prescribred me Transemic acid which helped.Period came soon after regular same as before the polyp removal. To be honest I didn't noticed any difference in my periods since then(I had it done 8 months ago),they were heavy and they are still are still the same.

I have this same situation. I had a hysterescopic surgery three weeks ago and now I have my first period after the op. It was mild yesterday, first day, but now it's heavy as before I had the op. I was advised to go to see my gynecologist after 1&1/2 months for the result of the op. I also had that op to check my heavy bleeding and abnormal bleeding but it seems no changes after the op.
