The more older of the people in UK will have to throw away their simple phones, mine personally is a simple text phone 2g, just got my second one of the same model. Due to the inevitable technology up grading, everything has to be faster, for todays technology🙄 What about the older generation not the fastest, but the likes of a simple text phone, is ideal, I'm 66 and retired, just an ordinary text phone, simple text messages to friends and relatives, ideal for health calls, no more than that, no adverts, no windows, no swiping, perfect, okay limited camera on most of the 2g text phones BUT now 4g and 5g will be standard in UK the older and disabled users will not have a chance, no respite for shaky fingers, what about emergency calls? or to get in touch via text/call? The cost of these technological monsters are😵🤑😲 I certainly won't be able to use one! Smart phones rule😫🙃😯😭🤐😲😖🤬🥵

I have a Doro which practically [it did] save my life, got it during Covid, I was in isolation for about nine months, only 2g but invaluable, Vodafone is stopping their 3g next month, have looked up alternatives, mostly windows and swiping jobbies, ok I'm using a laptop but been using them over twenty years, ever seen some of those old early 'laptops' portable🙄 heavy man! I AM NOT GOING TO USE SMART PHONES🤬🤬🤬

Just found my Doro has been upgraded from a 2g to a 3g, pure luck, apparently ok for present, but hardly a contentment for those with a 2 g machine, technology upgrading is still out there, good luck 👍

I'm afraid it is called technological upgrading🙄, its for the for the more technological with it generation, 3g is not powerful enough, they are trying to outmode the likes of call and text phones altogether, smart phone or else, thus the disabled, elderly or plain ordinary person that just wants to talk to friend or relative will be erased from the communication world!🙄
