Hi, I'm 81 and have seizures since age 15 and had medicine adjustments as recently as 2019. There have been difficult trial and error periods, that unwelcome seizure that comes unexpectedly....well, you all know. I've been getting some questions and thought some might enjoy this overview video from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.πŸ’•πŸ’•

First, I want to express my deep respect for you. Your courage and tenacity are evident in facing many years of epileptic seizures and constant medication adjustments. As an 81-year-old patient, the difficulties and challenges you have experienced are admirable.

I understand how exhausting and frustrating epileptic seizures and the trials and adjustments that come with them are. Every unexpected seizure brings anxiety and discomfort, but you have persisted and faced it positively, which is an amazing achievement in itself

Here, I would like to say a few words of encouragement to you:

Your persistence and patience in the treatment process over so many years is commendable. This spirit not only helps you, but also inspires those around you.

Although life is full of challenges, maintaining a positive attitude and pursuit of a better life will help you better cope with difficulties.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thanks, Martina....this has been my philosophy throughout my life. Not only is it better for me physically and mentally; it allows me to encourage others. People deal with far worse situations than I have, without hope, without resolution. So, I feel very fortunate. I would have drowned in the pity pot years ago if I'd just let it all get the best of me. There have been many other issues but the important thing is how we handle these crises in our lives. My greatest source of strength is faith and all the brave remarkable people in this world.πŸ’ž
