I am 65 near retirement, living alone, but being in isolation, claustrophobic, some sort of intellectual puzzles, to challenge my 'grey matter', be appropriate, improve my brain's 'sharpness'? I have an IQ of 142, my brain's working in the last couple of years, being my only solace, I believe my dementia has increased rapidly since March 2020 the start of the Covid pandemic? I am limited in finances and so use of transport, to stretch the old grey cells, be a way of regenerating the brain, my memory is poor, actually recently having 'memory blanks' [very embarrassing!] I have today been referred to a dementia counsellor via referral by myself. Any comments?

Have you tried WORDLE? Exercises your brain a bit.

Yes to anything that stimulates the grey cells. There are lots of free apps you can download to a smartphone or computer.

NOTE: Research on socialization having protective effect with dementia is very clear. Not sure how to suggest you do it, but find a way to socialize more. Other people are the greatest puzzle of them all.
