effects not affects I assume you are asking, immediate effect is a scar that will heal well and be hardly noticeable later on, but if not done well initially can weaken the stomach wall , this seldom occurs but if one gains a significant amount of weight it can occur more readily. If a second birth is within two years then more likely also.
