Open removal of gallbladder

My husband had his gallbladder removed 4 weeks ago is still in pain and taking painkillers daily. When will the pain stop.

But to find out about your husband's pain- it sounds like one for the GP.

Mine took nearly nine months to stop hurting. I was on morphine for 2 months then tramadol for 5 months then paracetamol for 2 months and still get odd twinges every now and then and I am 18 months on.

Ask GP for strong painkiller and please rest. You have inside muscles to heal and a liver that will be bruised because it was moved.
