The Paleo Diet: can it really be good for you?

Telegraph recently ran a piece looking at the fad Paleo diet (telegraph.co.uk/women/women...

They don't really assess the evidence well, but my main concern is why does the media never just advocate a balanced diet with exercise??

This is now a rather "historic" debate. We covered the paleo diet back in 2008, but obviously the evidence base may have moved on since then nhs.uk/news/2008/05May/Page....

Separately our colleagues elsewhere on NHS Choices worked with the British Dietetic Association to look through some of the most popular fad diets to look into the pros and cons. Paleo is in there, along with Dukan, Atkins and all the rest: nhs.uk/Livewell/loseweight/...
