If I cut up a lemon and dip it in sugar as a snack, is it better or worse than candy?

As the title says, do you guys think it is better or worse? Of course I know that I am dipping it in pure sugar, but candy has a lot of sugar too right?

Thanks in advance!

What would you be trying to do with this combination? Stave off a sweet tooth or is it just curiosity?

I had a big thing for lemons when I was a kid, and the acid generally is quite bad for your lips and teeth.

I genuinely like it a lot as a snack! That's the only reason :)
