Hi everyone,
I heard this on the news this morning and think that it's a shocking statistic as there are so many other health risks once someone has developed type 2 diabetes.
Here's the article:

I'd like to remind members that we have a pre diabetes Topic section and we have pre diabetes badges for members who want help in preventing diabetes and we try and help members to see how with a few simple steps some of them can reverse their diabetes.
We all have to be aware of how likely we are to develop diabetes and take whatever action we can so its not up to the Government or the NHS its up to us as a society as to how we are going to deal with this very real threat to so many peoples health.
So here's a link to see how likely you are to get develop 2 diabetes:

And know your risk of developing type 2 D:

Prevention is by far the best cure so well done to our successful pre diabetic members as they have shown what can be done.
Members tips on reversing and preventing type 2 diabetes would be appreciated as this is a serious health condition threatening so may peoples health and lifestyle.
