Calling All Readers!

This is our June 2020 Reading Rabbits Book Posting. You can post your comments and suggestions about any book/magazine/newspaper that does/doesn't have to do with any medical issues on this posting. You can mention about your favorite authors, as well. This posting will be pinned to the Pinned Posts for easier access.

Iโ€™m still reading: โ€œ The Outsiderโ€, by Stephen King, but Iโ€™m on page 216 for the moment. I have a feeling that I will have the book finished by the weekend since I got a lot of reading done before bed last night.

Currently, the Coach who was being accused for an awful crime that had been done to Frank Peterson (the 11 year old on the Coachโ€™s Little League Team) got shot by Frankโ€™s older brother near the street area of the Courthouse the day there was supposed to be a trail. Weโ€™ll have to wait and see how everything turns out soon.

Okay, now to you! Canโ€™t wait to hear about what youโ€™ve been reading lately. :-)

Ooh, having watched the TV show Iโ€™ll have to add the book to read next. Iโ€™m currently reading The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead. Itโ€™s from last year but Iโ€™m really enjoying it. Loosely based on true events too.

Thatโ€™s great on both issues. I never got to see the show, yet for The Outsider, but I donโ€™t know if I can get it since I donโ€™t have cable.

When the little girl stole another pupils I pad at school in the book it brought back memories of many years ago when I was 11 and I had stolen someone's lunch money as a dare for attention!

Very interesting how some stories imitate real life. Stephen King does his stories this way now and then.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒˆ

Just finished off the soldiers wife this evening and I really enjoyed it!

Hope you and bunny are well!

Everything is going well here, but very windy right now. We will have dinner at 5:30 pm and then I plan to do some reading from The Outsider. It's a very good book.

That's great about The Soldiers Wife. What's the next book you want to start reading? :-)

I am halfway through a great book by Chrissie manby called what I did on my holidays which I am enjoying so far that I started this evening.

Hi, I am new to this site but I love to see that others here are just as into reading as I am. I am currently reading a series of young adult novels that are reinterpretations of classic fairy tales. The author is Melanie Cellier. I am also reading about Greek Mythology and a book called The Fortune Hunter, which is about Bay Middleton and the Empress of Austria. Reading is my non-food reward

Welcome to the group and our book club! Your book choices sound great! I read Mythology stories in both middle and high school years ago.

I finished the Greek Mythology and am reading a book called "The Fortune Hunter" which is set in the 1880s and is about the Empress of Austria and a man named Bay Middleton (who was a Grand National rider). I am also reading a book called "The Colour" by Rose Tremain, which is about some immigrants to NZ during the gold rush

Have finished all my books. I really enjoyed "The Fortune Hunter", by Daisy Goodwin, it was the 2nd time I have read this and it was as fun and dramatic as the first time. "The Colour", by Rose Tremain, was a bit of a hard slog in places because the story keeps jumping around to follow different characters, but I persevered because it was about the Gold Rush in New Zealand and being a proud Kiwi (Hence my user name) I was enjoying reading about places that I have spent my life in. I would recommend both of these books if you have an interest in 19th century history.

Finished no angel by Penny vincenzi this morning all 836 pages of it!

Hello Activity2004, Just found this forum, I wondered why a number of members had reading rabbits after their name, I was beginning to think it was some sort of freemasons thing ๐Ÿ˜. Anyway back to books, I have just finished a book by Graham Joyce called

Some Kind of Fairytale, that was recommended by Stephen King and I must say it did make me think about many things. I can't tell you the plot as may like to read it, It's supernatural but not ghosts much deeper, sorry I'm waffling xx

That's wonderful to hear. I had read one or two books in my life that I just couldn't see myself finishing. Other than those two, I love what I read all the time. :-)
