Hi folks,

So how do you think humanity is going to go then?

Well, it is pretty obvious that humanity is killing itself and the planet.

Down with capitalism is what I say.

“The love for money is the root of all evil”

So do you think climate will change will get worse and we could be wiped out via extreme weather conditions or will we starve to death or will we be suffocated by plastic crap or what?

It might seem like a negative question but it’s quite a thought-provoking question too.

If we carry on as we do then say “bye bye” to the planet.

Some older friends of mine have said things like “It won’t affect me cos I’ll be long gone before the world gets any worse”.

But they don’t think about their families. I think it is quite selfish to think like that.

Their families will have to grow up in a world that is dying when it could be reversed if we all act.

Hi Matt2584 ,

This is definitely something to sit and think about. It's sad that most people think it's okay to 'leave a mess' for everyone else to clean up, but you have to do what you have to do and hope everything turns out the way you want it.:-)

Fantastic posting!:-)

Thanks Leah :).

I thought I might get the “Don’t be so negative”-based comments in reply but the thing is people have to think these things, they can’t just accept that everything will blow over.

Me and my mum were watching another ‘Extinction rebellion’ video yesterday.

What did you think of the video from yesterday?

No worries about anything. People are going to have their own opinions on certain issues.😀👍👍

Well I thought it was a pretty big eye opener.

Twas about climate change and if we don’t do nothing about it.

Governments have told the people about a Paris climate deal but according to the video it’s all a bunch of lies, no surprise there then.

Don’t expect governments to sort things out cos chances are they won’t.

To ease climate change every one of us needs to act.

In basic terms, humanity is heading to it’s own extinction on a pretty rapid scale.

That’s true. Not good at all.😫

I think it's our food and water that's going to get us. Everywhere there is cancer. Dogs, cats, people. So much food recalls here in the states. Why don't they catch it BEFORE it hits the store shelves. I can't forget the candy I bought everyone for Christmas one year and it got recalled in February. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

Food and water could also be a major part of the problem too.

Food is recalled in the states because it has cancer in it?

But it’s fine to sell food that has properties that can lead to cancer is it. And this is done all over the world, to my knowledge.

You have the likes of chemical company Bayer-Monsanto who makes GMOs and they will go and tell you that they do this in order to feed the world. It’s another pack of lies to go with the other pack of lies we’ve been told over the years.

You have the mass decline of bees which are mainly dying off because of pesticides and so on.

I have read many times that if every bee on the planet died, humanity would last for 4 more years.

The recalls are mostly foreign material in it or bacteria such as salmonella, listeria, or other ones I can't think of.

Thanks for a good and provoking post.

Until we respect our planet then we will get what we deserve. Will the human race become extinct? I think not.

We are coming to the end of a period of plenty because we have not used it wisely. A bit like a gambler with a pot of gold, who gambles it all away. The nature of gambling is there will be winners and losers but mostly losers. At what point do we stop felling forests when we know that trees are needed for the health of our planet. A healthy diverse planet leads to a healthy human population. The change is about to come to the way we live. But out of change will come a new order but the transition may be difficult.

Like you said "Some older friends of mine have said things like “It won’t affect me cos I’ll be long gone before the world gets any worse”. We rely on the younger generation to take us forward.
